Why do People Lose their Money so Easily

Why is it that money is the hardest thing to keep around? It seems like no matter how hard we try, we just seem to lose it all of a sudden? Well there are plenty of good reasons of that, and sometimes it really isn’t up to us how much of our money we can keep. After all, we do have bills to pay, places to go, and other reasons that we have to part with our hard earned cash. It can be said though that sometimes we are just bad with money. So why is it that our money always seems to be gone?

Well, you have to be smart with your money. You have to know how much you have, how much you can spend, and where it is all going. You can’t just put all of your paycheck toward a TV, or buying stuff for yourself just because you feel like it. You have to pay the mortgage, the car payment, the student loans, and other things that you already agreed to pay for earlier. It is unfortunate, but a lot of people tend to overlook this, and spend away.

Bad investments are another reason why people tend to lose money. Sometimes it is our own fault, and we just couldn’t ignore that hot tip we got from our uncle. Too bad for you though that the company went under in a month, and you are left with nothing more than a really expensive piece of paper that you own. Sometimes people get tricked into giving money away, especially seniors who are susceptible to people who claim they can make the elderly some more money.

Other times you can get sucked into fraud, such as the recent Ponzi scheme employed by Bernie Madoff. You give your money to a guy thinking he will invest wisely, only to realize that he is taking the money for himself, and you end up with nothing. Worst of all you don’t find this out until it is too late, and your money is worthless.

Some people just love to gamble away money. Either at the horse track, the casino, or playing lottery tickets, there are always a chance for a fool and his money to be parted. I don’t get why people gamble, but I guess its just the way some people are. Until people learn that gambling is a way for others to raise money, and not for you to make money, gambling will be a thriving industry.

So there are many ways people can lose money, and some of them aren’t even our fault. Yes some people do overspend, and don’t make good choices with money, but sometimes you can be scammed and not even know it. We need to do all we can to make sure that we are good with our finances, and hopefully people will learn to take good care of the money they work so hard to earn.
