Black Friday Deals

Black Friday can certainly be a deadly day – for your credit card. It does not have to be that way, however, as there are plenty of deals out there to help you save money. While every one else is sitting around a coffee table analyzing the best deals available in the paper’s flyers, or negotiating which stores they will hit up first, here is a run down of the cream of the crop for those Black Friday deals.

For those that are unaware, Black Friday is the Friday after Thanksgiving in the United States. Similar to the shopping bonanzas of Canada on Boxing Day, Black Friday is a day meant for non-stop shopping, and devouring leftover turkey along with some great deals. While some people will camp out overnight to hit the stores as they open at 4 in the morning, it does not need to be the case for everyone. By shopping online, you get to hit up more stores without the travel times, and avoid all the traffic and crowds of people in the stores.

So, without further ado, here are the Ten Best Black Friday Deals (in no particular order:

Web Hosting Deals – There is absolutely no better time to start up a blog or online business than Black Friday. Hosting companies are pretty much desperate to get you using their sites, so Black Friday is full of specials that will never be beat. Go Daddy is offering low priced domains from $5. Combine that with Host Gator hosting offering prices of $0.99 per month, and you could have a website for a year for under $20. Normally, the domain name alone would nearly cost the same. This is an unbeatable package.

Apple – A large portion of the population are fans of Apple products, from iPods to iPhones to MacBooks and now iPads. Apple is not immune to the Black Friday sales and have some incredible offers happening. The new iPad is marked down by $50, MacBooks and iMacs are marked down $100, iPod Touch down $40, and an iPod Nano is down $20. A lot of the accessories and software are marked down, as well. Some incredible savings being offered.

Amazon – The largest online retail store offers some of the craziest deals out there. Because they sell products in so many areas, you could easily do all of your shopping in one place. Here are some of the better finds: Western Digital 1TB Drive for under $90, LG 42″ 1080 HD LCD screen (priced so low, they can’t publish the price – hint: under $500), Canon Powershot 14.1MP Digital Camera for under $200 (normally $350). Amazon is also having specials throughout the day that they aren’t announcing ahead of time, so check the site frequently to get all the best deals.

Walmart – Love ’em, or hate ’em, Walmart has some deadly deals to match all the other major outlets out there. Like Amazon, they serve such a large range of items it is hard to cover all the great deals, but here are a few quick hits: Samsung Blu-Ray Player for $138.00, Playstation 3 Bundle (160 GB hard drive, two controllers, two games) for $350.00, Acer 17″ laptop for under $500.

Black Friday is a day to surf the web and compare prices at different sites. The larger retail sites will be offering the lowest prices ever on a lot of products that independent stores can only dream of matching. If you are on a budget, look at Amazon and Walmart to get the most bang for your buck. If those stores are not an option, shop at your local stores and support the community.

As always, know your limits for spending and do not go overboard. With that being said, you can save yourself a lot of money in one day if you plan ahead for gifts for the following months.

Spend wisely and have fun taking in the deals!
